My relationship with ageing, dementia and end-of-life care began long before I knew there was a name for this work.
As a child, I spent school holidays alongside my mother, a private nurse, caring for people living with dementia and those nearing the end of life. Those early experiences taught me something that has stayed with me ever since:
When stories are preserved and practical matters are organised, families are free to focus on love, connection and remembrance.
Today, through By My Bedside, I help people preserve stories, music, memories, photographs and important information, creating lasting collections for the people they love.
